Call the local Clarion crisis support number at 814-226-7223 or toll free number 1-800-292-3866. This service is available to everyone. All Calls are confidential. Dial 911 in an emergency. Take any threat or talk about suicide seriously. Start by telling the person that you are concerned. Don’t be afraid to ask whether she or he is considering suicide or has a plan or method in mind. Resist the temptation to argue the person out of suicide by saying, “You have so much to live for” or, “Your suicide will hurt your family & friends.” Instead, seek help as soon as possible by contacting a mental health professional.
Call Crisis or Clarion Psychiatric Center.
Do not leave the person alone.
If safe to do so, remove any firearms, alcohol, drugs or sharp objects.
Take the person to an emergency room.

6th Annual Suicide Awareness Virtual Walk September 10, 2020
Thanks to all of our sponsors and all who participated in this year's first ever (and hopefully our last) VIRTUAL Annual Suicide Awareness Walk in New Bethlehem, Pa. It was a beautiful evening to remember those we've lost to suicide and to spread the word about suicide prevention. Special thanks to the Borough of New Bethlehem for allowing us to hold our scaled down live streaming event in Gum Town Park, ExploreClarion, and to all of our community volunteers for making the event possible. We look forward to seeing you all in person in 2021!
